Meet our B Local Illinios Leaders and the heartbeat of our organization
Our leadership philosophy is apparent in each Chair of the Board's purpose and vision to bringing more B Corps initiatives to life.
Tim Frick, Chair Emeritus
Tim Frick started his digital agency Mightybytes in early 1998 to help purpose-driven companies, social enterprises, and large nonprofits solve problems, amplify their impact, and drive measurable results. He is also the author of four books, including Designing for Sustainability: A Guide to Building Greener Digital Products and Services. Tim regularly presents at conferences and offers workshops on sustainable design, measuring impact, and problem solving in the digital economy.
Adrian Gershom, Chair
Adrian is a purpose-driven marketing expert and works with clients that range in size from startups to Fortune 500 companies to make their sales and marketing more measurable and effective. A particular area of focus is the role that culture and values play in separating organizations with highly effective sales and marketing from those that are merely average.
Robyn Lustbader, JEDI Chair
Robyn (she/her/hers) is the Senior Account Manager at Lagniappe Beverage, where she works with a diverse array of customers across the Chicago metro distributing a portfolio of primarily organic and sustainably-produced wines, spirits, and ciders. Robyn's passion for JEDI issues starts with her diverse family, and celebrating her Pacific Islander heritage. She started her career as a musician, with a Music Education and Performance degree from Ithaca College. As an artist, she was quickly drawn to the restaurant and wine industry, as so many artists are! What she grew to love, though, was the diverse community that makes up our service industry. Her passion for sustainability, diversity, and equity began to skyrocket soon after, and she intends to pursue her career in DEI and social responsibility. She is a rising Baumhart Scholar MBA at Loyola University's Quinlan School of Business, a member of the Chicago Chamber Choir, and pet-mom to Mia (meow), and Lupita (woof). You can find her drinking orange wine or cooking a feast when she's not in her studies, making music, or out in the community.
Alexandra Turcios - Marketing & Communications Chair
Alexandra is a senior management consulting and strategy analyst at Accenture. She is passionate about amplifying the voices of underrepresented minorities and advocating for small business. Her family operates a small business and from an early age, she was exposed to what it meant to build something from the ground up. Outside of Accenture, Alexandra serves as Co-Chair for Professional Development at the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement Young Professionals Board. She is a proud first-generation alumna of the University of Illinois, former Fulbright scholar, and named to the 2020 cohort of Latinos 40 under 40 by Negocios Now.
Kim Proudfoot, Membership Chair
Kim has over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, working in the Underwriting, Product Management and Client Consulting areas. She lives in the Logan Square neighborhood and in her free time, you can find her reading, attempting to tackle DIY home projects, and spending time outdoors with her dog.
Ryan DeProsperis, Partnerships Chair
Ryan resides in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife and two boys, Benjamin and Joshua and is a native of Chicago. Ryan enjoys roasting coffee, brewing beer and taking family vacations and camping trips. He believes that anyone can live a more sustainable life through the products we buy and the people that we encounter. Ryan has spent his whole career at a large financial services firm helping people invest using sustainable investment methods.
